Maths Week 2024
Dear Parents and Carers,
Our annual Maths Week has finally arrived in St Francis’ Primary School and we have some excellent activities planned for this week, Monday 14th-Friday 18th October.
As always the exciting event will be packed with fun maths activities and competitions to inspire and motivate our pupils and lots of time will be devoted to practical maths games.
On Thursday 17th we will have an exciting Maths Fun Day, for the whole school, hosted by my Primary 7 class. Each class will participate in lots of fun maths games/activities i.e. large 3D puzzles/Izak 9 cubes and many more.
These activities are designed to improve thinking skills and self-confidence.
As you know, mathematics is everywhere. Children can be supported in their learning at home by following recipes, counting objects in the shopping bag, looking for patterns or symmetry in nature and of course, through spending (or saving) money!
Two great sites for rehearsing skills online are:

We'll have a great time and make this week as enjoyable as we can.
Thank you for you continuing support.
