Maths Week 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our annual Maths Week has finally arrived in St Francis’ Primary School. We have some exciting activities planned for this week, Monday 18th-Friday 22nd October.
As always the exciting event will be packed with fun maths activities and competitions to inspire and motivate our pupils and lots of time will be devoted to practical maths games.
On Wednesday 20th we will have an exciting Maths Fun Day hosted by Primary 5. Each class will participate in lots of fun maths games/activities i.e. large 3D puzzles/Izak9/solve problems in teams.
The activities are designed to improve thinking skills and self-confidence.
As you know, mathematics is everywhere. Children can be supported in their learning at home by following recipes, counting objects in the supermarket, looking for patterns or symmetry in nature, and of course, through spending (or saving) money!
Two handy sites for rehearsing skills online are:

I am sure we will have a fabulous week and we will make it as enjoyable as possible.
Thank you for you continuing support.
