Making Bird Cake in P4

P4 boys and girls are getting ready for the RSPB’s Big School Birdwatch. Today everyone helped to make bird cake. It is important to feed the birds when all their natural supplies such as berries and fruit can’t be sourced in the Winter. We made the bird cake with Lard, to give them energy and warmth. We put in apples, raisins, bird seed, mealworms for the robins and Nyger seed for the goldfinches.
