Fun and Games on the Internet.
We have had lots of discussion and chat about keeping safe on the internet in P4. The children have been telling me all about the games they play and we have talked about keeping our passwords secret and strong, not sharing personal information, reporting bullying and only playing online in the presence of a trusted adult. The children know to tell a trusted adult if they ever see or hear anything online which worries or upsets them. In this context of safe and responsible use, we enjoy the fun and games available to us every day. Look at some samples of how we use the internet to play online games in school, upload comments to Newsdesk, send samples of our work to our parents and even do our homework via Seesaw. It is lovely to see parents closely involved with their children’s online activities. We use ICT right across the curriculum in school and know that our young children are very proficient in its use for fun and leisure time too. A wonderful tool to use responsibly, safely and of course, in moderation.
