Catholic Schools Week
Our wonderful pupils have been marking Catholic Schools Week with a range of activities. After our assembly last week where we reflected on what makes us a Catholic School and how important it is to us that absolutely everyone in our school family receives a warm welcome and feels at home here, whatever their beliefs, Mrs McKeown set pupils the challenge of completing one of these secret missions: a random act of kindness; an act of kindness when it is difficult and putting someone else first, whether at home, at school at sports or at mass.
This is how we lived out this year’s theme of “Service”.
In class we learned about service to our community and our environment, and planted some flowers to help the bees and wildlife around our homes.
We also reflected on people who live out their service by helping us each day in school and we are working on a banner to show we are grateful for all they do.
